Fighting between the army and paramilitary forces in Sudan has entered its second week, following which the evacuation of foreign nationals from Sudan has begun.
According to reports, the evacuation of more than 150 citizens of 12 countries, including Pakistanis, has been completed.
Diplomats, international officials and civilians have been flown to Jeddah by the Saudi Navy, including citizens of Pakistan, India, Kuwait, Qatar, Arab Emirates, Egypt and Tunisia.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said in its statement that three ships of the Saudi Navy helped to evacuate the citizens along with other military agencies and brought the citizens to Jeddah.
This is the first successful evacuation operation to evacuate foreigners trapped in Sudan since the ongoing civil war.
