Mecca: Eid al-Fitr is being celebrated today in Saudi Arabia.
In Saudi Arabia, the largest gathering of Eid prayers was held in Haram Sharif and Masjid Nabawi (peace be upon him), in which millions of people participated. Members of the royal family, scholars and sheikhs participated in the Eid prayers.

Eid is also being celebrated today in Canada, Afghanistan, Turkey, Egypt, United Arab Emirates and Gulf countries. In Britain this year too, some people will celebrate Eid today while others will celebrate it tomorrow. Eid will be celebrated in India, Iran, Japan, Philippines, Thailand and Australia tomorrow i.e. Saturday, April 22.
