The Ministry of Islamic Affairs of Saudi Arabia has made arrangements at 20,700 mosques and places to offer Eid-ul-Fitr prayers.
More than 6,000 men and women have been given the responsibility of monitoring mosques and places of prayer.
After sighting the moon, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Friday, April 21.
The Supreme Court had asked the Muslims in the country to watch the Shawwal moon on Thursday evening.
The Supreme Court said that anyone who sees the moon through binoculars or other means should immediately report to the nearest court and register his testimony.
Saudi Arabia has Eid holidays till Sunday while normal work will resume from Monday.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, more than 2.5 million people were present in Baitullah on Wednesday.
