Egypt says its personnel in Sudan for joint military exercises have returned to the country.
177 military personnel arrived in Cairo from Sudan through three flights containing Egyptian military forces.
A separate group of 27 Air Force personnel is based in the Egyptian embassy in Khartoum.
Clashes between the Sudanese army and paramilitary forces have been ongoing since last week in Khartoum and two other cities, Omdurman and Bahri.
Sudanese paramilitary forces arrested Egyptian Air Force personnel who were released after mediation by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Sudanese paramilitary said it had handed over the air force personnel to the International Committee of the Red Cross in Khartoum.
The Egyptian army says that the personnel will be withdrawn as soon as the situation is resolved.
