Order to supply the list of 600 people who took billions of dollars interest-free loans during the PTI era

Islamabad: The Public Accounts Committee of the Parliament has ordered an investigation into the issue of interest-free loans of three billion dollars to various individuals and companies during the PTI era.

The committee has also sought the records and details of the names of the borrowers from the State Bank of Pakistan. Chairman Committee Noor Alam has warned that if the documents are not provided to us, then I will file an FIR against the Finance Ministry and State Bank officials who did not provide the information.

A meeting of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament was held under the chairmanship of Chairman PAC Noor Alam Khan. The committee sought a report from the FIA ​​after Eid.

It was told in the PAC meeting that 600 people were given loans of 3 billion dollars during the PTI period, State Bank should give a complete list of people for taking loans at zero interest rate.

Chairman PAC Noor Alam Khan said that one billion dollars was also provided to a company called Hiscool, but this company that took the funds later went bankrupt, the country’s economy is destroyed and there is looting here. All property, including land, bank balances and vehicles should be taken into government custody.

He said that the PAC has recommended the management of the school to be arrested and the assets taken into government custody. A case should be registered against the officer of the State Bank and Ministry of Finance who does not cooperate. Noor Alam Khan said that whoever is involved in the former prime minister or finance minister should be given a report.

Burgess Tahir said that loans equal to 850 billion rupees were given in the previous period, the way the country was looted, people should know, at the time the dollar rate of funds given was 162 rupees, now the dollar has reached 280 to 290 rupees. It’s done.

Noor Alam said that the loan was given during the reign of Raza Baqir and the then Finance Minister, PAC was also directed to recover 44 billion rupees from Baico Company.

On this occasion, PAC member Ramesh Kumar said that the funds were given to set up industry during the Corona epidemic, the purpose of giving the funds was to promote exports.
