Sicily: The largest shipment of drugs has been recovered on the east coast of Italy.
Italian police have reported that a large shipment of cocaine has been found floating near the eastern coast of the island of Sicily.
A statement released by Italian police said that about 2 tons of drugs were seized after they were found floating in the Mediterranean Sea during a routine coastal patrol.
Police said the drugs were carefully sealed in 70 waterproof floating packets. The cocaine is worth 400 million Euros (about 440 million dollars).
The statement also said that the detection of the drug, which is one of the largest ever, has potentially prevented access by criminals who would bring it into the city for illegal sale in the country. come
