Skeleton of bloodthirsty dinosaur sold for 5.3 million dollars

Byrne: The skeleton of the most bloodthirsty predatory dinosaur Tyrannosaurus rex (T-rex) was sold for 5 million 30 thousand dollars during the auction.

About 300 T-Rex bones, excavated from three locations in the United States and assembled into a single structure, sold for $5.3 million at an auction in Switzerland.

The dinosaur bones were collected in a structure 38 feet long and 12.8 feet high. The auction house said it was the first time such a T-Rex structure had been offered for auction in Europe.

“It’s a fair price,” said Carl Green, the auction house’s marketing director. I hope it will be put on public display somewhere. Green declined to identify the buyer, but said the buyer was a European private collector.
