Lahore: 2 terrorists were killed in an intelligence-led operation by CTD in Rajanpur.
According to the spokesperson of CTD Punjab, the terrorists include Ilyas and Irfanullah, who were planning to attack the secret agency. A raid was conducted by the sensitive agencies, on which the terrorists started firing. During the operation, the terrorists kept firing at the CTD in 2 groups.
During the operation, 2 terrorists were killed by their own terrorist associates. Explosive materials, arms, detonator, prima cord were recovered from the terrorists while 3 terrorists escaped by taking advantage of darkness.
According to the statement issued by the spokesperson, tonight CTD team Rajanpur received information from a reliable source that 5 terrorists of the banned organization TTP (Jamaat-ul-Ahrar) are planning to attack a sensitive institution in Rajanpur. which are present within the limits of Rojhan police station.
According to the sources, the terrorists have explosive materials and weapons. The CTD team reached the spot but the terrorists fired directly at the CTD teams. The terrorists divided themselves into 2 groups and during the fierce exchange of fire, 2 terrorists were killed.
The slain terrorists were identified as Ilyas alias Abdullah son of Toor Khan Zaat Malizai, resident of Mardan, while the other was identified as Irfanullah alias Qari Abdullah son of Jafar Zaat Sherikhel, resident of Tehsil Pandiali District, Mohmand Agency, who were killed by their fellow terrorists. The terrorists shot dead and the remaining 3 terrorists managed to escape.
Kalashnikov, magazines, 31 rounds, 30 bore guns, 20 rounds, explosives, prima cord, non-electric detonator, tape solution were recovered from the terrorists.
According to the spokesman, the bomb disposal squad was also called to the spot after the operation. A case has been registered against the terrorists while further investigation is underway. Important leads and revelations regarding the terrorist network are expected.
