Peshawar / Khyber: Several containers were buried under the debris due to the landslide on Torkham Export Road, while there are fears of casualties.
According to Express News, several freight vehicles and containers were buried under the debris after a landslide fell on the export road near the Khyber Torkham border district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Out of them, 2 injured have been shifted to Lindi Kotal District Headquarters Hospital.
Hospital sources say that among the injured are the drivers named Ajrullah and Khashadar, who are being given medical aid while the condition of both the injured is out of danger.
On the other hand, SHO Ishrat Ali Khyber said that fire broke out in cargo vehicles and containers during the landslide, due to which more than a dozen vehicles are engulfed in flames and there is a risk of casualties. Efforts are ongoing.
According to rescue sources, firefighters and staff of Rescue 1122 have been dispatched to the scene.
