After three days of clashes between the army and the paramilitary force (RSF) in Sudan, the Sudanese army chief ordered the disbandment of the RSF as rebels.
According to the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Army Chief Abdul Fattah al-Barhan has issued an order to disband the paramilitary force, Rapid Support Forces, and declared it a rebel group.
So far, 97 civilians have been killed and dozens injured in clashes between the army and paramilitary forces.
A paramilitary force has rebelled against the Sudanese army, which seized power after a military coup in 2021.
