Khartoum: A paramilitary force in Sudan staged a coup, which was retaliated by the army and in two days of clashes between the two, 56 people were killed and around 600 injured.

According to the international news agency, the unrest in Sudan continues for the second day today. In different cities of the country, the national army also bombarded the positions of the rebel paramilitary force.

On the other hand, the paramilitary forces rebelling against the military government claimed to have taken control of the presidential palace, Khartoum airport and other important facilities.

However, the army has denied these claims and said that it has forced the rebel force to retreat.

Clashes and protests between the country’s army and the rebel Rapid Support Force have left 56 people dead, including army personnel, while 595 people have been injured.

Due to the critical condition of dozens of injured, the death toll is expected to increase.

On the other hand, US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken says that he has consulted with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and the three of us have urged the warring parties in Sudan to end the fighting unconditionally.

It should be noted that the fighting started after several months of tension between army commander General Abdul Fattah Al-Barhan and RSF chief General Muhammad Hamdan Dagalu over the integration of RSF into the army.

In which the RSF alleged that the army had targeted their hideouts and installations. After the end of Omar al-Bashir’s long rule in Sudan, the political crisis has not ended yet.
