The police arrested the suspects who were gambling online on the cricket matches between Pakistan and New Zealand.
According to police officials, Ganjmundi police arrested 03 accused Asad Hussain alias Asadi, Toqeer alias Amir and Muhammad Ashraf who were gambling online on Pakistan New Zealand cricket matches and recovered Rs 743 thousand 800 in cash and Rs 15 lakh 70 thousand from the accused. 08 mobile phones, 2 laptops, LCD, tablet, calculator and 2 registers were also recovered from the accused.
On the other hand, Civil Lines Police arrested 03 suspects Khurram, Haroon and Haris who were playing online gambling on Pakistan New Zealand cricket matches and recovered 03 mobile phones, LED, CPU.
The accused used to gamble with certain customers through crex, betpro and other online apps.
CPO Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani appreciated the performance of the police team on operations against online gambling and issued instructions to continue crackdown against such elements.
