Lahore: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says that the journey of development of Punjab which we started was deliberately stopped by the previous government.
Addressing a high-level meeting regarding the ongoing public facility development works and proposed projects in Lahore, the Prime Minister said that the people of Punjab have been avenged for their support of the Muslim League-N.
The Prime Minister said that the new projects in Lahore were kept aside, but the projects started by us were kept at a standstill. The previous government entrusted Punjab to an incompetent and puppet Chief Minister for 4 years.
Shahbaz Sharif said that instead of focusing on the development of Punjab, the post of Chief Minister was being used for political manipulation in the federation. Public welfare projects which would have been completed by now and reduced the hardships of the people were delayed for years.
The Prime Minister directed that all the projects should be completed as soon as possible. Adviser to Prime Minister Ahad Khan Cheema, Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Naqvi and federal and provincial ministers participated in the meeting.
