Legislation is not the power of a court but of Parliament, the Law Minister

Lahore: Federal Law Minister Nazir Tarar has said that legislation is not the authority of a court but of Parliament.

Speaking at an event, the federal law minister said that the purpose of the judicial reform bill is to utilize the collective wisdom, the parliament will not in any case give up the right to legislate for public welfare.

Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar said that legislation is the right of the elected parliament of 22 crore people of Pakistan and we will not give this right to anyone else, it is not the right of any court, the parliament does not accept it.

He said that he is satisfied and proud of the law made by the Parliament. The Review of Judgment and Orders Bill was passed by the National Assembly and will now be sent to the Senate for approval.

The Law Minister also distributed certificates to the participants of the Vocational Court in the Punjab Bar Council.
