Karachi: The Election Commission has released the results of a few more union committees

Karachi: Election Commission has released the results of some Union Committees that were stopped in the Local Government Elections.

The results of 228 out of 235 seats in the local body elections to be held in Karachi have been completed. After which PPP got more seats of Chairman and Vice Chairman. According to the election results, Sindh’s ruling party became the largest party with 92 seats.

In the municipal elections, Jamaat-e-Islami became the second largest party with 80 seats of chairman and vice-chairman, while Tehreek-e-Insaaf got 44 seats, Muslim League (N) got 7, JUI got 3, and TLP got one. And an independent candidate also won one seat.

The notification of victory of Ahmed Raza of PPP has been issued in Korangi Town while the candidate of Tehreek Labeek has won from Sadar Town UC-7. PTI won 3 UCs from Malir, Ibrahim Hydari and Orangi Town while Muslim League (N) won 2 seats from Korangi and Shah Faisal Town.

It should be noted that the Election Commission has still withheld the results of some Union Committees.
