Inauguration of new route of People's Electric Bus Service from Bahria Town to Millerhalt

Karachi: Sindh Government has inaugurated a new route of People’s Electric Bus Service from Bahria Town to Malirhalt.

The inauguration ceremony of the new route of People’s Bus Service was held in Bahria Town Karachi, Secretary Transport and Mass Transit Abdul Halim Sheikh inaugurated the route by cutting the ribbon.

The People’s Electric Bus will now also be available on the Bahria Town to Malir Halt route, Route 2 from Bahria Town via Toll Plaza, Bakai University, Jinnah Avenue, Mallikant Link Road, Check Post No. 5, 6 Tank Chowk, Malir Model Colony to Malir Halt. will end at, earlier bus service route number 1 was running.

According to Abdul Halim Sheikh, initially 13 buses are being operated between Bahria and Malirhalt, which will continue to run from 6:30 in the morning to 9:00 pm, the bus has a capacity of 92 passengers while the fare is 100 rupees, for charging electric buses in Bahria town. Secretary Transport said in a media interview that 50 more buses will be added to the Karachi routes before June, after which the number of buses will be 350. The federation has been asked to provide 300 buses.

He said that 10,000 buses are needed for Karachi, the old buses which are running are not being stopped, the Chief Minister has approved a special grant to improve the routes.
