New Delhi: Worried by the global movement of separatist Sikhs, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi telephoned his British counterpart Rishi Sonak and demanded a crackdown on supporters of Khalistan.

Leaders and workers of Khalistan, who are struggling for freedom from Indian oppression, fighting for their rights and a new independent homeland, have exposed the face of the so-called secular state by demonstrating in other countries including the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.

Protesters in London took down the Indian flag from the Indian High Commission building and hoisted the Khalistan flag. The Modi government was left stunned by the global crisis.

A panic-stricken Narendra Modi contacted his British counterpart Rishi Sonak on the phone and pleaded that action be taken against those who hoisted the Khalistan flag by removing the Indian flag from the Indian High Commission in London last month.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sonak is British of Indian origin and Modi believed that he might be able to help him by taking action against supporters of Khalistan because of this connection.

However, British Prime Minister Rishi Sonak replied that if someone has violated British laws and social traditions or has harmed someone, then the law will certainly come into action.

It should be noted that the responsibility of taking down the Indian flag from the Indian High Commission building and hoisting the Khalistan flag was accepted by the Sikh organization Dil Khalsa, the majority of whose supporters live in the UK.
