The Lahore High Court allowed former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi and his son and (Q) League leader Monis Elahi to contest the elections.
The hearing of the application against the rejection of the nomination papers of former Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi and Munis Elahi was held in the Lahore High Court.
The court annulled the order of the returning officer to reject the nomination papers and allowed Parvez Elahi and Monis Elahi to contest the election. The court accepted the appeals of Parvez Elahi and Mons Elahi. Election Commission and Returning Officer PP 32 Gujarat have been made parties in the petition.
