Karachi: The court ordered K Electric to pay Rs 92 lakh as compensation to the injured citizen.
In the Karachi City Court, in front of Senior Civil Judge Razzaq Hussain, a petition related to the injury of citizen Asim Imam due to the fall of K Electric’s PMT was heard.
The petitioner’s counsel, Usman Farooq Advocate, took the stand that the incident of PMT collapse took place on November 15, 2018 in Orangi Town Sadiqabad.
He said that due to the negligence of PMTK Electric, it fell due to which his client Asim Imam was badly injured and many of his organs are disabled till date.
Usman Farooq advocate requested the court to impose a heavy fine on K Electric and order it to pay damages to the affected citizen.
The court issued a major order against K Electric for negligence and ordered the victim, Asim Imam, to pay Rs 92 lakh as damages. The court directed K Electric to pay the damages within 30 days.
