Fire incident in New Karachi Industrial Area, 4 firefighters died

Karachi: 4 firefighters were killed when the building collapsed after a fire broke out in a factory in New Karachi Industrial Area.

According to Express News, after the fire in the factory of New Karachi Industrial Area, the cooling process was going on in the building, the building fell to the ground, as a result of which 4 firefighters died while 13 people were injured.

According to fire brigade officials, KMC firefighters were engaged in the cooling process when the tragic incident took place. He was taken out and sent to the hospital for immediate medical assistance.

It should be noted that yesterday morning at 8 o’clock in the morning, a fire broke out in 3 factories simultaneously in New Karachi industrial area, as a result of which goods worth crores of rupees were destroyed, the fire in 2 factories was extinguished while the fire in the third factory took 16 hours. After passing through it could be controlled.

The fire brigade officials said that the fire has been controlled to a large extent, 10 fire tenders, snorkels and bowsers were still present at the spot while the fire brigade staff were busy trying to extinguish the fire completely. Efforts to control the fire were ongoing.

On the other hand, Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori visited the scene and took notice of the fire fighters who were killed and injured due to the collapse of the building after the fire broke out in the factory and contacted Administrator Karachi Dr. Saifur Rehman and directed that the injured should be taken to the hospital immediately. Medical aid should be provided.

Governor Sindh directed that no effort should be spared in providing medical aid to the injured, Kamran Tesori also directed to take all measures to control the fire in the factory.
