Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed has said that the G20 countries should be aware of the controversial status of Jammu and Kashmir, and should also know that by calling the G20 meeting in Srinagar, the capital of Occupied Kashmir, the Indian occupying authorities in Jammu And they cannot change the disputed status of Kashmir.
It should be noted that India has announced to hold the G20 working group meeting on tourism in Srinagar during the last week of May.
In a statement issued from Brussels, Ali Raza Syed has declared the Indian announcement of convening an international meeting in the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir as illegal and has expressed his serious concerns over it.
Chairman Kashmir Council EU said that Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory and this fact cannot be covered by the international event in Srinagar. In order to end the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir, it is necessary to find a peaceful and acceptable solution to the problem.
He said that through such illegal action, India wants to continue its illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir, but the fact is that the Kashmir issue is an internationally recognized issue and is governed by international law and the United Nations Security Council. Resolutions exist in this context.
Ali Raza Syed strongly condemned the Indian move and said that the Jammu and Kashmir conflict has been unresolved for 70 years and is on the agenda of the United Nations.
He said that by convening an international meeting in a disputed area, India is not only ignoring the resolutions of the United Nations, but this action is also a violation of international norms.
Ali Raza Syed demanded that the international community, especially the G20 member countries, should be aware of the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir and the continuous killings of the people of the occupied part of the land by the Indian occupation forces. Therefore, the G20 countries should refrain from participating in any meeting in Occupied Kashmir.
