An investigation into the attack on the imam of the mosque in Paterson, New Jersey, USA is ongoing.
In this regard, the New Jersey police could not determine the reasons for the attack yet.
A case of attempted murder has been registered against the attacker, 32-year-old Sarif Zorba. The imam of the Umar mosque in Paterson was attacked during the Fajr prayer.
It is said that the attacker stabbed the imam several times, the worshipers saved the imam’s life.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Paterson city has announced the deployment of police outside the mosque after this incident.
