Islamabad: The Senate of Pakistan unanimously approved the resolution to hold the elections of the national and four provincial assemblies simultaneously.
The bill was presented by Senator Tahir Bizenjo, according to which political stability is necessary for economic stability in the country, but all elections must be held simultaneously.
According to the resolution, holding elections only in Punjab will have negative effects on other small provinces, while holding elections for national and all provincial assemblies simultaneously will strengthen the federation. The country cannot afford any more political instability, we need to work for the country’s stability instead of pitting each other against each other.
Senator Mushtaq Ahmad from Jamaat-e-Islami said that the election in Pakistan should be held at the same time, but according to the constitution, the election should be held in 90 days, so the rest of the assemblies should also be dissolved and elections should be held immediately across the country.
