Private sector employees in Oman have been directed to pay their April salaries before Eid.
Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in the third week of April in Islamic countries around the world. In this regard, the Government of Oman has issued a directive to the management of private institutions regarding the payment of salaries to their employees for the month of April before Eid.
According to foreign media, Oman’s Ministry of Labor has issued a circular instructing the management of private enterprises in the Sultanate of Oman to ensure the payment of April salaries to their employees before the Eid-ul-Fitr festival.
This circular of the Ministry of Labor shall apply to all private sector enterprises in the Sultanate of Oman subject to the provisions of the Labor Law promulgated by Royal Decree No. (35/2003).
The circular urges the managements of private enterprises to pay the salaries of all their concerned employees for the month of April on or before Tuesday 18 April 2023.
