California: In America, a rabbit has joined the police forces of California.
A police officer in the US state of California named Officer Ashley Carson found a stray rabbit on Percy Avenue in Yuba City, California last year.
Carson brought the rabbit to his police station and turned the rabbit over to the animal control department to find the rabbit’s ‘family’.
Meanwhile, California police services adopted the rabbit and named him Percy, and now the Yuba City Police Department has announced the promotion of the rabbit to the position of “welfare officer” just days before Easter Sunday. Now the rabbit has become Officer Percy.
Officer Percy lives in the police department’s lounges during the day and is proving to be a support animal for everyone, the department wrote on its Facebook post.
