Mumbai: The Mumbai Cricket Association has announced the construction of a Victory Memorial to preserve the unique memory of the 2011 World Cup win.
According to Indian media reports, the Mumbai Cricket Association has decided that the ‘2011 World Cup Victory Memorial’ will be built at the place where Mahendra Singh Dhoni hit a six to win India the second World Cup.
In this regard, former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni also visited this place on Friday along with senior officials.

Mumbai Cricket Association president Amul says that 5 chairs have been removed from the pavilion from J282 to 286, where we plan to build a Victory Memorial, for the World Cup victory memorial. The Indian captain’s 2011 World Cup final six was played at this place, while these 4 sets will be removed permanently.
He said that this Victory Memorial will be ready by the time of hosting the ODI World Cup in October-November while its design has been made.
