Eat Fatty Foods and Not Gain Weight, How?

United States: Biologists have discovered that if a certain protein component in the human body is blocked, even eating fatty food will not increase weight and the metabolic balance will be restored.

Biologists have found in mice that if SAPS3, a component of the protein AMPK, is eliminated from the body, energy balance can be maintained despite eating a high-fat diet. In addition, this finding may also help in obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic diseases by targeting inhibition of SAPS3.

Eating too much fat increases the risk of several metabolic diseases, but the mechanisms behind how this happens are not understood. Now experts at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) have made a key discovery about how to prevent the negative effects of a high-fat diet. The study recently appeared in a scientific journal Nature Communications Published in

A component of AMPK called SAPS3 plays an important role in the metabolism of dietary fat. The experts deleted SAPS3 from the genome of a group of mice and fed them a 45% fat diet, and the results were shocking even to the research team.
