Five bakery units in KP were closed for poor sanitation

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority closed down five bakery units in Dir Upper and Swabi districts.

According to the Food Authority spokesperson, the food safety teams inspected various grocery, wholesale and meat shops, bakery production units and hotels. Three bakery production units in Dir Upper and two in Swabi were arrested for poor sanitation, use of non-food grade color and dirty eggs.

The Swabi Food Safety Team also seized 720 kg of mislabelled ghee from a wholesale shop.

Director General Food Authority Shah Rukh Ali Khan says that operations against adulteration mafia are going on in all the districts of the province.
