Lahore: The High Court allowed markets to open till 1 am till Eid.
A hearing was held in the Lahore High Court on the petitions filed for remedying the smog. Justice Shahid Karim heard the petitions of Haroon Farooq and others pointing out that no effective measures were taken to remedy the smog.
The court ordered immediate registration of cases against the tree cutters and assured that cutting of trees will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The court also ordered WASA to re-check the underground water level of Lahore.
A further hearing on the application will be held on April 14.
