In March, 141 cases of missing persons were registered, 59 were disposed of

The missing persons commission currently has 2370 pending cases (photo file).

Islamabad: The Missing Persons Commission submitted a progress report to the Supreme Court, according to which 141 cases of missing persons were registered and 59 were disposed of in the month of March.

The report states that 47 missing persons returned home in March while the bodies of 3 were found. 2 missing persons were found in different prisons of the country. Also, 7 cases disposed of were not cases of enforced disappearance. The commission received a total of 9534 cases of missing persons.

The report submitted by the commission said that till March 31, the missing persons commission had dealt with 7105 cases. The missing persons commission currently has 2370 pending cases.
