The social media site Twitter continues to remove blue ticks from users’ accounts and in this regard, an account named Twitter verified has unfollowed all accounts.
According to foreign media, the following on the ‘Twitter Verified’ account has now reached ‘zero’, which was previously followed by around 420,000 verified accounts.
According to foreign media, accounts that did not pay for the Blue subscription were warned by Twitter to remove the blue tick from April 1.
According to reports, Twitter first introduced Blue Tick for verified accounts in 2009 to help users identify real accounts of celebrities, politicians, companies, brands, news organizations and public interest.
It should be noted that Twitter has never charged a fee for verified accounts before.
