Karachi: The case of injuring 2 security guards by firing near Askari Park turned out to be an extortion case.
The PIB Police has registered case number 99 of 2023 under sections 385 and 324 of the Criminal Code against other unknown suspects including Ahmed Ali Magsi belonging to the Lyari gang war in the complaint of Supervisor Sudhir Ahmed.
According to the text of the case, the plaintiff has stated that after informing the owner Muhammad Javed about the injury of 2 security guards in the project firing incident, he told that he had just received a call from an international number and his name was Ahmed Ali Magsi. Told and said I happen to be in PIB colony and now I have attacked your project.
According to the plaintiff, on the phone call, it was further said that you should give me Rs. 5 crore and felt, if you do not do so, I will continue my action and will also throw a grenade at the project. .
The police have registered a case in the light of the plaintiff Sudhir’s statement and have handed over the case to the Specialized Investigation Unit (SIU) police for further investigation.
It should be noted that on Wednesday evening at the time of Iftar, the security guards were sitting outside the under-construction project near Old Sabzi Mandi Askari Park in PIB Colony. As a result, two security guards, 59-year-old Liaquat and 27-year-old Yasir, were injured by bullets.
