Islamabad: The number of crimes in the federal capital has increased to an alarming extent.
The Ministry of Interior presented the statistics of crimes committed during the last 2 years in the House, according to which 2412 crimes were reported in Islamabad during the last 2 years.
In the written response, it is stated that during this period, 310 murders and 504 attempted murders were reported in the federal capital. 1500 people were kidnapped, 103 cases of robbery were reported from Islamabad. Incidents of sexual abuse of children and girls have also increased.
During the last 2 years, 148 cases of sexual abuse of children were registered, challans were presented in the courts in 131 cases. 172 persons involved in sexual abuse of children were arrested. It has been stated in the written reply that 96 boys and 52 girls were sexually abused during the said period.
