The police arrested 3 suspects including the housemaid
Karachi: Police arrested 3 suspects including a housemaid on the charge of stealing valuable gold ornaments and cash from the bungalow of ex-mayor Karachi in Derakhshan area and recovered some of the stolen gold ornaments.
According to DIG South Irfan Baloch, the bungalow belongs to former Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar, while the housekeeper escaped after stealing gold jewellery, diamond rings and cash from the bungalow.
The police had registered a case of the incident on the complaint of Muhammad Tufail, an employee of the bungalow. The police arrested 3 suspects including the housemaid on the charge of theft and recovered some of the stolen gold ornaments and efforts are on to recover the others.
