Damascus: Israel launched a missile attack targeting the capital of Syria, as a result of which 2 civilians have been killed.
According to the official Syrian news agency Sana’a, this is the third Israeli attack on the Syrian capital in less than a week, in which two civilians were killed, while material losses were also reported.
Sana’a quoted military sources as saying that Israel launched a missile attack from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting Damascus and some locations around the southern region.
The sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Syrian air defenses tried to intercept the missiles and shot down some of them.
It should be noted that an officer of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) was killed in Israeli airstrikes on the outskirts of Damascus earlier on Friday.
