Two petitions filed to disqualify Imran Khan and remove him from party leadership

Jamiat Ulema Islam and Awami National Party filed separate petitions to disqualify Imran Khan in the Peshawar High Court.

On the other hand, ANP provincial president Amil Wali Khan has filed an application in Peshawar High Court for the disqualification of Imran Khan, which will be heard on April 13. It has been argued in the petition that Imran Khan sold Tosha Khana gifts illegally, did not disclose the proceeds in the assets, NA 45 Karam’s nomination papers did not disclose his wife’s jewelery worth 70 lakhs, while 7 constituencies including Karam Hiding assets in nomination papers is a violation of Election Act 2017.

The position has been taken in the petition that Imran Khan should be removed from the leadership of the party and his actions as chairman should be declared invalid, the Election Commission should declare Imran Khan’s notification as a member of the National Assembly invalid.

Amil Khan Wali took a position that the former prime minister has been disqualified for the crime of concealing valuable gifts in the Toshahkhana case.
