A home theater music system exploded inside a house in Kordha, Chhattisgarh, India, killing 2 people and injuring 4.
According to media reports, the bridegroom and her brother are among the dead, while 4 people of the house were seriously injured and were shifted to the hospital.
According to the police, the home theater music system was received as a wedding gift by the family which caused a loud explosion, but the cause is not known and investigations are underway. The explosion was so intense that half of the roof of the house collapsed while the walls were also damaged.
According to the preliminary investigation, 22-year-old Heminder Mirvi was married on April 1. The family members were sitting in a room opening the wedding gifts and during this time the music system was also checked.
As soon as Heminder Mirvi plugged in the music system and turned on the button, there was a loud explosion. Neighbors immediately informed the police.
