Great defeat for Ukraine, Russia captures important city

Ukraine has suffered another major defeat in its war with Russia.

The Russian-backed army has claimed control of the key Ukrainian strategic city of Bakhmut after the Battle of Ghamsan.

Yevgeny Prigogine, the head of the Wagner military group fighting for Russia, has announced the complete capture of the city of Bakhmut, saying that Ukraine has finally been defeated.

They say that Ukrainian flags have been taken down and Russian flags have been hoisted on the administrative buildings and installations in the occupied areas of Bakhmut and the forces now have complete control over these areas.

The head of the Wagner group says that he has faced strong resistance from the Ukrainian side, but the Ukrainian army is now confined to the western part of the city.

On the other hand, America has said that Ukraine is struggling hard to save Bakhmut. According to a White House official, Ukraine is still fighting for Bakhmut and the war is not over.

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters that Ukrainians had not been evacuated from the city and that an additional aid package could be expected for Ukraine this week.
