According to reports, Zhang, a 27-year-old healthy citizen, went to a massage parlor in Shanghai, where he got a neck and shoulder massage and then headed home after taking a shower.
It is said that after the massage and bath, Zhang felt dizzy and was later rushed to the hospital where he died later that night.
Doctors said that Zhang had developed a brain infection due to the neck massage, as the massage had dislocated his neck and caused his death.
Speaking to the media after the incident, a surgeon warned that the neck is a sensitive area and improper massage can lead to death.
It was reported that Zhang had come to the massage parlor and said that he felt discomfort in his neck and shoulders. After the massage, he took a shower and walked home, suddenly felt dizzy and then collapsed.
