IG Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon described the performance of some DIGs and SSPs posted in the province as unsatisfactory.
According to the information received by Express News from police sources, in the meeting presided over by the IG, Ghulam Nabi Memon was told that Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Matiari, Thatta, Sajawal, Badin, Dadu, Tandwala Yar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Mirpur Khas, Umar A report has been submitted by SSPs crossing Kot and Thar.
In this report, the ratio of police arrests and convictions was very low and it was revealed in the meeting that DIGs and SSPs try to show efficiency by making some arrests, arrest big and small drug dealers and register cases but these accused Punishments are negligible, sometimes there is a conflict of interest and sometimes there is a shameful admission of failure.
The report states that there are 617 small and large gutka mawa sellers in Hyderabad, 534 are active out of which 308 were arrested, this rate is 58%, 22% are in jail and 78% are on bail. For example, Jamshoro has 270 small-scale gatka mawa sellers with an arrest rate of only 44 percent, of which 36 percent are on bail.
The report revealed that the number of makers and sellers of Gatka, Mawa in Matiari is 209, of which only 96 are arrested and 74 are on bail, meaning 77 percent of the accused are out, in Thatta the number is 441, 49 percent arrested. And 80 percent of the accused are on bail.
According to the report presented by the police authorities, there are 35 percent arrests in Sajawal, 26 accused are arrested and 21 are on bail, this rate is 81 percent, 553 accused have been identified in Badin, of which 130 are arrested and 87 percent are on bail. In Dadu, the number is 181 out of which 75 are under arrest and 65 are in jail while 10 are out on bail.

According to the sources, IG Sindh has also expressed his displeasure on some SSPs in the light of this report and has also issued instructions to take quick action by giving new tasks.
