European country Finland will become NATO’s 31st member on Tuesday (April 4, 2023) ahead of a two-day meeting of foreign ministers from the alliance.

This was announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg while addressing a press conference before the meeting of European Foreign Ministers starting tomorrow.

In his speech, the NATO Secretary General welcomed Finland’s impending accession, saying “it will be a good day for Finnish security, Nordic security and NATO as a whole”.

In this meeting of Foreign Ministers, NATO ally will also discuss the topic of illegal war against Ukraine by Russia.

They are expected to agree to begin work on developing a multi-year aid program.

He will also discuss threats and challenges from the South, the importance of increasing defense investment and China’s growing alignment with Russia.
