Britain’s King Charles III has been issued another stark warning ahead of his coronation.

According to international media reports, Australia’s new High Commissioner in London, Stephen Smith, has warned that King Charles will inevitably be removed from the position of head of state in Australia.

Stephen Smith argues that it is inevitable that Australia will abolish the monarchy, but how this happens is entirely a matter for the Australian government of the day.

He said there was still great respect for the monarchy in Australia as Australia periodically considered what it should do about the country’s constitutional arrangements.

The Australian High Commissioner’s statement comes two months after the Reserve Bank of Australia announced that the country’s $5 note will no longer feature the image of King Charles.

Remember that King Charles is the head of 14 countries of the Commonwealth, including Australia, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
