Melbourne: The court found the Israeli-born Australian former head teacher guilty of 18 charges of sexual exploitation and abuse of students.

According to the World News Agency, an Israeli-born female head teacher of an ultra-Orthodox Jewish school in Australia had 18 charges, including sexually abusing a sleeping student, a female student and three sisters during a summer camp.

Leffer was first accused of sexual abuse in 2008 when a student with mental illness told her psychologist about it. On which the female teacher had fled to her homeland Israel.

The Australian government decided to prosecute after collecting other such cases in 2012 and demanded the extradition of the woman from the Israeli government.

On which the woman sent a message through the Israeli government that she is unable to face legal proceedings due to mental illness and confusion.

However, a private spy videotaped her in Israel, showing Leffer going about her daily tasks properly and on time.

Based on this video, Australia again demanded the extradition of the women from Israel.

After lengthy legal discussions and diplomatic efforts, Israel finally arrested the female teacher and deported her to Australia in 2021.

At today’s hearing, Leifer dismissed the students’ allegations as baseless and false, maintaining that his relationship with the students was “professional and appropriate.”

The female teacher convicted by the court may be sentenced to life imprisonment.
