In various cities of India, mosques were attacked on the occasion of Hindu religious festival.
The participants of the Ram Navami procession set fire to mosques, Muslim businesses, houses, vehicles and even graveyards were set on fire.
Armed with weapons and sticks, the participants of the Ram Navami Jalsa deliberately stopped in front of the mosques at the time of Iftar, shouted anti-Muslim slogans, and pelted stones.
If they did not get any response even after inciting emotions, they rushed to the mosques and then set them on fire.
Violent incidents took place in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Nalanda and Jamshedpur areas of Bihar.
In view of the situation, the Taraweeh prayer was postponed in Jamshedpur’s main Jama Masjid.
