A day before former Indian cricketer and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu was released from Patiala jail, his wife Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu shared an emotional tweet.
Navjot Kaur Sidhu, tweeting on the micro-blogging site Twitter, wrote that if dedication is true, what you ask for will be given, whether you are conscious or unconscious. I asked God for death to teach Sidhu a lesson. Navjot’s love for Punjab had alienated him from all his loved ones and now he is waiting for God’s grace.
He wrote in another tweet that ‘God says I will give you what you ask for, but no one will get anything against my will and before time. The destiny and journey of every human being is different and we have no right to question. If anyone needs to be corrected, it’s us. It is his world and his rules.
It may be recalled that Navjot Singh Sidhu’s wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu is fighting a life and death battle with stage 2 ‘Invisu Cancer’ and is waiting for her husband’s release.
It may be noted that 59-year-old former Indian cricketer and politician Navjot Singh Sidhu was sent to Central Jail in Patiala in May 2022 after being convicted by the Supreme Court in a 34-year-old case. He was sentenced to a year in prison.
