New Delhi: A case of sexual harassment has been registered against a professor in a university in India after a fierce protest by female students.
According to Indian media, an assistant professor of an educational institution in Chennai city was accused of sexual harassment by a former student. Despite the student’s complaint, no case was registered against Assistant Professor Haripadman.
In the Women’s Commission, 90 female students filed an application for action against the professor, while more than 200 male and female students were protesting against sexual harassment for the past several days.
The Women’s Commission had termed the allegations of sexual harassment against the female professor as a misleading campaign.
