Phoenix: A 15-foot-long plastic spoon installed outside a Dairy Queen restaurant in Arizona has mysteriously disappeared, leaving even the owners baffled.
According to the owners, it is a mystery that the spoon thief is of no use and why has he done this?
Pooja Kalra and her husband, who own the restaurant, said the spoon, which is about four and a half meters long, was stolen sometime between Friday and Saturday night. The spoon was supported by the roof railing keeping it upright.
The CCTV footage showed the two suspects first loosening the screws and nuts and placing the spoon on a motorcycle before escaping. According to Pooja, he was such an expert in his work that it was as if he had done some incidents before, but he was unable to know what the latest showpiece could be of use to him.
In this regard, a report has been written to the police, which has started an investigation. But no arrests have been made so far, while the owners have said that if the thieves return the spoon, they will not be questioned.
Pooja and her husband opened the shop in 2008, which now has 34 branches, but Chamchewali restaurant was the only one, which is also their first shop. According to him, customers were fond of this rare item and people used to take selfies and post it on social media.
