Occupied Jerusalem: During the final match at the International Football Stadium, Israeli forces shelled tear gas, which seriously affected many players and fans.

According to international media reports, many Palestinian football players and fans suffered from suffocation and breathing problems after Israeli forces fired tear gas during the final match in occupied Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Football Association (PFA) said Israeli forces fired tear gas inside the Faisal al-Husseini International Stadium in Dahyat al-Barid Street in the East Jerusalem town of al-Ram.

In the incident, several Palestinian football players and dozens of fans, including children, suffered severe breathing problems due to the gas and were treated on the field, while three people were taken to hospital in critical condition.

Turkish Consul General for Palestine Ahmed Reza Demerer and PFA President Jibril Al Rajoub Abu Ammar were attending the Cup final when Israeli forces disrupted the match. The PFA said the match was between Nablus’ football club Markaz Bilata and Jerusalem club Jabal al-Makabar when the attack took place during the half-time break.
