2 soldiers fell into the river and died due to the rope breaking during the ongoing military exercises in the Indian state of West Bengal.
According to media reports, the accident took place on Wednesday in which the Indian army personnel were practicing crossing the river hanging from a rope.
Meanwhile, the rope broke and 3 personnel fell into Sarobar Lake, which is in Barrackpore area.
The army personnel were taken to hospital where 2 were declared brought dead while one is undergoing treatment.
Lieutenant General RP Kalita said that an inquiry commission has been formed to investigate the accident.
