Petroleum development levy on diesel has been increased by Rs.5


The government increased the petroleum development levy on diesel by Rs.5.

According to sources, the petroleum development levy on diesel has gone up to Rs 50 per litre.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has demanded a levy on petroleum products of Rs 50 per litre.

Petrol is already levied at the rate of Rs 50 per litre.

Petroleum development levy on light diesel oil is Rs 13 78 paise per liter while petroleum levy is imposed on kerosene at the rate of Rs 2 83 paise per litre.

It should be noted that the government has maintained the prices of petrol and diesel for the next 15 days, while the price of kerosene and light diesel oil has been reduced by Rs 10 and Rs 10 per litre.
